This project promotes the meaningful participation of girls and young women in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) decision-making and climate change adaptation processes for sustainable development. It strengthens their capacity, leadership, and collective advocacy to influence policies, programmes, and decisions that affect their health, rights, and resilience to climate change.
Through capacity building, community dialogues, evidence generation, and engagement with policymakers at sub-county, district, national, and regional levels, the project will create opportunities for girls and young women to shape SRHR and climate adaptation agendas. It will also advocate for reforms in laws, policies, and practices that integrate SRHR and climate change adaptation, with particular attention to the needs and rights of girls and young women. Ultimately, the project seeks to advance gender-responsive policies, inclusive decision-making, and sustainable solutions that protect the rights, health, and well-being of girls and young women.
