Stories of change

When Women Lead, Communities Are Stronger

Across the communities where we work, women are not only beneficiaries of change they are leaders, advocates, mediators and agents of change.

Through women’s leadership and community-based early warning and response mechanisms, women are identifying emerging tensions, facilitating dialogue and helping resolve conflicts before they escalate into violence.

This demonstrates what is possible when local knowledge, women’s leadership and community action are connected to wider systems of support and accountability.
