Empowering communities to reduce stigma towards young adolescents accessing Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and services in Wakiso district
Project objectives.
- To reduce stigma towards young adolescents accessing SRHR information and services
- To increase access to SRHR information and services among young adolescents
- To advocate for legal, policy and practice change on the adoption of se in schools

- Reduced stigma towards young adolescents accessing SRHR information and services from the community
- Sexuality education incorporated in school curriculum
Approach
- Community sensitization/awareness creation on adolescent SRHR including schools
- Community dialogues on SRHR issues affecting young adolescents
What we’ve done so far
- PSD trained 21 Health workers to provide young adolescent-friendly SRH services and information.
- 30 Community Resource Persons CORPs were also trained on Sexual and Reproductive Health and these rolled out the project in the project areas.
- Trained 7 local CSOs on SRHR advocacy.
