PSD aims to empower women and girls economically by addressing systemic barriers such as limited access to finance, discriminatory policies, and gender norms that restrict economic participation.

The strategy focuses on increasing women’s real power over economic decisions through advocacy for gender-responsive policies, creating supportive business environments, and enhancing women’s skills and capacities at community and institutional levels.

PSD will promote shared decision-making in households, support climate-smart livelihoods, provide literacy and mentorship programs, and engage communities to raise awareness on gender equity.

These efforts seek to enable women to meet their practical and strategic needs, fostering sustainable economic independence and gender equality.
