The meeting had 30 participants including the Resident District Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, District Community Development Officer, District Police Commander, Community Liaison Officer, the District Chairperson, community Development Officers, Religious and local council leaders. The overall objective of the meeting was to introduce the Project to the different stakeholders in Wakiso District, lay a foundation for a successful Project implementation and to draw a work plan aimed at facilitating follow-ups on outcomes of the meeting. PSD wanted to ensure that the stakeholders are on the same page with PSD regarding the objectives, expected outcomes, timeline, impact and implementation plans of the Project, to discuss the Project work plan, including coordination mechanisms as well as defining the roles and responsibilities of relevant partners.
It was a half day meeting held on 31st March, 2021with a presentation from the PSD staff introducing the Organisation and the project, communication from stakeholders such as the District leadership and the participants. PSD developed a way forward and recommendation on how best to achieve the overall impact of the Project.
