“Paradigm for Social Justice and Development has taught us that there is nothing for us without us….” WPGs representative.

Peace Coordinators (PCs) and Women Peace Groups (WPGs) from Busiro North and Busiro East in Wakiso District have applauded PSD for reaching out to their communities through the project; on ‘Empowering women to promote peaceful and gender equal societies in Wakiso District’.

“Peace Coordinators and Women Peace Groups are central to the implementation of this project. These are community members with high standing in the community. That is why we trained them and equipped them with relevant skills and materials they need to work towards violence and injustice free communities” said the PSD Executive Director Zurah.

A representative of the PCs said;

“Paradigm for Social Justice and Development has empowered us and our communities. We are welcomed and respected everywhere because of promoting peace through community radios and community dialogues”.

A representative of the WPGs said;

“Paradigm for Social Justice and Development has taught us that there is nothing for us without us. You have enabled us to have a say in matters that affect us directly and indirectly. Thank you, Paradigm”.

At paradigm, we do not take these compliments for granted. Together with our development partners, we have a role to play and we are delighted to know that we are making an impact.

Women have a voice, power and capacity to be agents of change. They are critical to better dialogue, better policies, and more sustainable peace.
