Mugisa Martha is a Lecturer and Consultant on Gender, Violence against Women, and girls, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights.

I received training from Women’s Link worldwide on Litigating and Communicating Reproductive rights. Have trained and continuously edify Medical professionals on health and the law, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights. Also, participated in the formulation and review of National Policies and guidelines such as the National Plan of Action against Gender-Based Violence and Violence against Children, National Policy on Adolescent Health Service Standards, Trainee’s, and Trainer’s Manual on Training Health Workers on Sexual Violence.

She is a committee member of the Uganda Law Society(ULS) – Sexual Gender-Based Violence Cluster and East African Law Society (EALS)-Women Lawyers Committee. She was awarded a Certificate of merit for best performance and commitment from the Department of Law and Jurisprudence – Kampala International University (KIU).

She attained a Master of Laws (Distinction) degree from the University of Derby, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from Uganda Christian University (UCU) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre. Also, she received a certificate on the Right to Privacy in the Digital Age in African from the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria, Completing Copyrights X classes from Harvard Law school and an Advanced Human Rights Certificate in Intellectual Property Rights and Public Interest course from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Similarly completed a successful training with the Public Interest Law Clinic at Makerere University on Intensive Training on Public Interest Litigation and Enforcement of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
